Turn of the Century Kitchen
This charming turn-of-the-century kitchen brings back many memories of days long ago. Complete with circa 1900 iron cookstove; wooden icebox; butter cradle; wood cooking utensils, a variety of crocks, a baby's high chair, a “summer stove,” a collection of Depression glassware; assorted dishes, and the innovative 1948 Ironrite which shortened the many hours women stood over wood ironing boards using “sad” irons.
There are also many items displayed in the cup-boards including a beautiful platter given to a slave by her master as a wedding gift, a ruby glass mug won as a prize at the Ripley Fair, and a Ripley Fair taffy hook.
